Sildenafil Tablets

A clinically proven treatment for erectile dysfunction, containing the same active ingredient as Viagra. Works within 30–60 minutes.
Clear

Overview

Sildenafil is a prescription-only medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It is the active ingredient in Viagra and belongs to a group of medicines known as PDE5 inhibitors — the same family as tadalafil (Cialis) and avanafil (Spedra).

Sildenafil is the most widely prescribed ED treatment in the UK. It typically begins working within 30–60 minutes when taken on an empty stomach, and its effects can last for up to 4–6 hours.

It is available in three strengths — 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg — allowing for dose adjustment based on effectiveness and tolerability.

Sildenafil is a prescription-only medicine (POM). It can only be supplied after an online clinical assessment has been reviewed and approved by a prescriber.

How Sildenafil Works
Sildenafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing increased blood flow when you are sexually aroused. This helps you achieve and maintain an erection firm enough for sexual activity. Like other PDE5 inhibitors, sildenafil:
  • Blocks the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5)
  • Supports the natural process of arousal by improving blood flow
  • Requires sexual stimulation to be effective — it will not cause an erection on its own
Sildenafil does not increase sexual desire. Without arousal and normal foreplay, the effects of the tablet will simply wear off over a few hours.

Strengths available:
25mg, 50mg, 100mg tablets.
